The story behind Maker Enterprises Apparel
The Maker family started Maker Enterprises Apparel because we were struggling to find a business shirt that maintained the design, colour and quality that we were seeking for our transport business, TJK Transport. We tested several different techniques of printing for TJK Transport shirts but could not find a print that would not fade or peel off until we found DTF printing. With DTF printing we found that it gave us the quality that we were looking for.
That’s why we chose to start Maker Enterprises Apparel and give other businesses and individuals the opportunity to have the same quality of shirts as we have for our businesses. This business also gave our son, who has Down syndrome, an opportunity to develop skills, learn responsibility and gain confidence within himself as our leading model.
Along the way, we have learnt and developed our skills which has enhanced the quality of the designs being pressed onto the shirts. With the success of our shirts we then chose to expand into hats, stubby coolers and tote bags which have the same standard of quality as the shirts produced. We have also recently stepped into the embroidery field providing customers with the opportunity to not only have printed merchandise but embroidered merchandise.
We want to ensure that moving forward we continue to provide a quality product to our customers.
